Best UK Universities that accept BTEC Extended diploma for Architecture undergraduate

I just phoned up University of Edinburgh, and they said they won't accept my Level 3 BTEC Extended diploma qualification. I'm currently studying games art/design, which already involves some architectural elements because we use 3DS Max, Maya etc. We also do landscape drawing and things I would have thought would be accepted. I have strong art skills, so a portfolio won't be a problem. I'm sure I am already ahead of some of the students who have the required qualifications (A levels) because I have experience using the software, which they may not have used. Should I just still apply and hope hard, or will they just chuck out my application because it says BTEC?

Edinburgh was my first choice, so now I have to find out which other universities accept my qualification. If you have any suggestions please tell me! :biggrin:
