United's form in europe has been patchy for a few years now, with the exception of the Roma result I can only think of the 4-3 against R.Madrid as a really signficant result in Europe for a while, and even then needed another two goals to qualify (?).

Milan are a canny team and I think it'll be a really close tie, possibly more so than Liverpool/Chelsea

Welcome to the Society mate!
I wouldn't exactly say we're dynamite at home Juwel. Our last good European home game was 4 years ago, and we've been borderline awful ever since, with one or two exceptions (average performances against Benfica and Copenhagen).

Athough our form in europe this season has not been the best i still think we have what it takes to beat ac milan. Ac are an ageing team and although that brings experience it doesnt neccesarily bring success. Am i right to say that it was Lyon who beat them 3-0 at the San Siro?? If ronaldo can get a run at milans defence...maldini, cafu, he'd do them for pace everytime. With Rooney, Scholes, Giggs and Carrick i can definately see us scoring goals against this team. Kaka is their danger man and rio and whoever partnes him in defence will have to be wide awake because he can change a game as easy as ronaldo can!
I've been to every Euro away this season, but should we get to the final I can't go. So I'm officially ********d off, and it would be a burden off my mind if we did lose. Having said that, of course I hope we win.
Kaka frightens me to death. But for me this is the weakest Milan side I've yet seen - strong enough for the semis of the CL (not bad really is it!!!) but they've been consistently at the top for so long; this side looks a pale imitation of previous incarnations. No chance against United as far I can see. They will get pulled apart by your speed.

One has to wonder why the likes of Ronaldo, Giggs, Rooney and Scholes haven't run teams ragged in Europe if their pace is so great and important? Not every side will have a quick backline and very few will have any defenders with the nous and intelligence of Milan's.

Still fancy the mancs to get through like but gonna be a great tie
Without a doubt it's going to be awesome...

although one thing that does encourage me, is that whenever Milan have been talked about in an attacking manner Kaka is the only player to get a mention...even though they have talented players i think a lot of pressure is on Kaka.

If we can break down the silky passing i think we'll win the 1st leg and draw the 2nd. However if we let Milan walk around us like Roma did in the 1st tie we're going to have trouble. Although i do think that won't happen at OT.

SAF will have done his homework, and will have more weaknesses to go on, seeing as Milan have had a disappointing season (regardless of the deduction), wheras Utd have rarely slipped up.

Only one thing is for sure, it's going to be GOOD

INJURIES UPDATE

Nemanja Vidic - "Vidic is coming along very well and starts training on Monday, he is doing some physical work, but Monday he starts some serious work and hopefully he will be available for the latter games.

Gary Neville - "Gary is progressing quite well, there is a chance he could be ready for the Everton match.

Louis Saha - "Louis Saha is continuing his progress with the physios but won't be fit for this week.

John O`Shea & Rio Ferdinand - "John O'Shea, I am happy he is back, and with John O'Shea and Rio Ferdinand it gives us a far more experienced look at the back, but in saying that Darren Fletcher and Kieran Richardson have done excellent for us.

Patrice Evra - "Patrice had a bad tackle that we thought was worse than what it was, but we think it was the actual blow - so I am happy he is back.

Ji-sung Park - "Park we will make a decision next week, we are seeing a specialist and hopefully we'll make an opinion what the next stage should be.

Mikael Silvestre - "Out for the season.

Great news that our defence is sorting itself out.

Gutted for Park though.

Little mention of Rossi these days  6 goals in 13 appearances over at Parma, considering they were bottom by 8 points when he began his loan, its just goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone. Good on him :yy: Dont know what fergie's plans are, but id like to see him get a good run in the first team.

Also, i dont usually follow other teams outside of Utd, but im hoping Keano will get auto promotion with Sunderland. Will be great to see them up next season.

I know how you feel mate. I've just found out that I've got uni exams on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th May so I can't go either. I felt like crying when I received the exam timetable.

Boro to come before Milan (which hopefully my windscreen will be fixed in tome for, otherwise I'll miss that game too). Going for a United win, but will be close.

United 2-1 Boro
3-0 to United
