BEng without HNC/HND.

Hi.
My employer has given me the opportunity to study a BEng in electrical engineering. I have found a work based learning course as i work full time.

The thing is i didnt reach hnc level when serving my time. I contacted the uni and they told me it would probably not be a problem as i have nearly 20 years experience and mature students seldom fail to make the grade. Iam worried about the mathematics part as i have not studied in a while. Is there anyone else who has taken this route under similar circumstances. Thanks.

Have you done A level maths or equivalent? If not, I think you'll find the course easier to cope with if you do some study before you go. CGP Core maths books C1 - C4 are really good, with worked examples and clear explanations. I would also recommend examsolutions.net and khanacademy.org . However, you'll probably find that there is plenty of maths support during the first year of your course.
