ADVICE NEEDED Edinburgh College of Art Graphic Design Portfolio

I would really appreciate any advice from graphic design students, or people who have heard back from particularly edinburgh university, what to include in a graphic design portfolio. I have been rejected from my first application from this course, but instead of going to my insurance university, have decided to take a year out to build a stronger portfolio for applying to Edinburgh again next year. (My heart is set on this uni). I would love to see examples of portfolio work or even how to even structure a graphic design portfolio of the standard for this uni. I would really appreciate the help!

Have you read this? It's not specific to ECA but it gives a lot of really good advice:

Yeah I've had a read of this thread 😊 it is very useful! However it would be helpful to see graphic design portfolio content.

Sorry, can't help more than that. My son's at ECA but he did painting for his undergrad degree, not graphic design. They don't (or didn't 4 years ago) interview you so the best tip I can suggest is to make sure your work speaks for itself - lots of sketchbook support. If you can get to the degree show at all, you can see what kind of work they aim for by the end.

Hi guys, does anyone need work for their portfolio? I need a web & print logo for my start-up, let's pair up?
