He basically outmuscle two Palace defenders to assist the goal if I remember correctly... he's match fit.

Apparently he is 'getting a few minutes' alongside all of the other new recruits, which means Vermaelen will be playing as well.

Nah, his fitness is probably off (nothing out of the usual there then for Giroud).

FFP is a joke. People give Wenger a lot of stick about his record. But, you will only need to look at the players he's made (but who decided to leave) to see that it is not his fault. He made many great players.
