Quite a few carved out of stone rugby players would disagree with that
Maybe but there are always exceptions.

That can't be true
I went on the web-sites and it said that I had a BMI of 17.22. But I'm not underweight. One of my friends weighs 5 stone! It has to be wrong

not wrong, yes flawed in some cases and quite approximate. and not designed for those still growing (like 13 year olds)

BMI Is a good indicator:

Weight in Kilos/[Height in Metres]^2

i.e. 100kilo 1.75M tall

100/1.75^2 = 32.6

BMI < 20 = Underweight
BMI >20 , <25 = Normal
BMI >25, <30 = Overweight
BMI >30 = Obese

Body mass indicator?

Girls are fully developed before boys. I'm sure i've read in one of my text books that its 21 for guys and about 17-18 for girls.

I didn't think so either

Although I've dropped down quite a bit solely because I know if I grew out of 16s finding decent clothes would be much harder.
