Swapping subjects in primary teaching.

I have emailed the Admin at the uni, but its nearly been a week since i sent it off and im wanting to send my UCAS off by the end of this week.

So im doing an access course in humanities, but want to do the IT specialism, how ever im not doing a subject related to IT, but i do have history, so would mean i could get onto the humanities specialism, however, i have more knowledge in IT than i do with Geography or History.

So im wanting to know how easy it would be to move over to the IT specialism after the first year or term to the IT side?
