The Student Room Group

... and that was my day really.

Just overheard a lady summarise on her phone "... and that was my day really." Which made me wonder what wonderous and magical things she had just relayed to her unknown chum at the other end. And what you've all been doing?

So sum up your day below and end if properly with "... and that was my day really."

I missed my alarm, got up ate, watched a programme, then got dressed and have been doing a level work for most of the day. Now listening to the album AM whilst making notes. And that was my day really.
School. That was my day really.
Woke up this morning.
Said hello to cat.
Caught late first train and missed connection to TSR.
Got coffee.
Caught second train.
Revised a bit for my exams in Feb.
Chatted to colleague Pete on phone about data.
Arrived at TSR HQ to find sausage and hash brown bagel from super She Ra.
Had meeting with testing team about the new editor for posting on Tsr.
Had meeting about PR for the year with agency.
Had meeting with head of edu sales about some cool campaigns.
Met with head of ops and data Jenny.
Had a sandwich before that to buy She Ra some coconut popcorn and Jeanlucpicard two avocados. And Queen Cersei caramel chocolate.
Got train home, sent some emails to CEO and BBC.
Bought a bug house in TK Maxx and a discounted dinner in M&S.
Wrote this.

Woke up late, rushed to school, suffered through the longest Chemistry class of my life, got out early, nearly crashed the car in my effort to get home before the rush, nearly got into a fistfight and then vegetated on the sofa for a good four hours thinking about road safety...and that was my day really.
Woke up, did 2 maths past papers whilst listening to music.
got to college, had as maths mock,
got home and watched tv,
now on laptop doing some tsr before i revise for tommorows mock

the life of a student during mock week ffss

Got up. Went to sixth form for a mock.
Revised then had the mock. It went ok.
Started chucking it down when I was walking to the bus stop.
Got the bus.
Walked from bus stop to house.
Shoe fell off as I was putting my foot down so ended putting my foot in a puddle with just socks on :frown:
Got home and had lunch.
Watched TV.
And that was my day really.
got up. went to school. learnt nothing. ATE A COOKIE. Getting 4'oclock bus home when suddenly the driver starts hitting on me calling me honey, flirting and winking. so that was my day really... :bored:
Got up at 7, went to work for 8am.
Ward round was awesome since the surgeon doing it is an absolute legend. 8 minute ward round! lol
Then I met the girl I have a crush on for lunch. Was awesome
Spent the afternoon having coffee with some of the more senior trainees.
Gave the girl a lift back to the train station on my way home. She didn't mention her boyfriend even once which is good going.
Went for a 6 mile jog.
Arranged a service with BMW over the weekend, its going to cost me £500 :/ - Not so happy about that...!
Now I'm here writing up my audit.
Procrastinating...

and that was my day really!
Woke up. Had a fight with my alarm. It won. School. Mock results. Anger. Go out after school. Ate three Greggs pasties. Guilt. Walked home. It rained. Got wet. Drowned my sorrows with cookies. More guilt. And that was my day really.
my morning will not be accepted by moderators nor my afternoon sympathised with by the community or the general public so it's kinda futile to discuss anything until this point.

Now I'm going to play badminton

…and that was my day really

I woke up to my alarm.
Fell asleep again and missed my lecture.
Replied on tsr a lot.
Watched a second of dexter before getting bored.
Tried to make tea.
Failed.
Talked on the phone to my sorta boyfriend about us being on a break.
Went back to sleep for two hours.
Woke up, felt ****.
Talked to my best friend on the phone.
Talked to my sorta boyfriend again.
Helped him sort out his personal statement.
Said goodbye to him until we've had time apart.
Replied on tsr a lot.
Saw my flat mates.
Did nothing.
Showered.
Sat in my towel on tsr replying to threads.
... and that was my day really.
I somehow further fostered my unexpected bromance with the surgical registrar on call.
I got all my cannulae today on the first attempts with no mess whatsoever.
I somehow knew what sideroblastic anaemia was when asked.
I clerked all the patients who were transferred from [redacted] Hospital without running late.
I did all this while teaching a first year student on an experience day.

Today was very surprisingly good...

.. and that was my day, really.

Went to school in my new skirt again :gah:
Had three children fighting over my lap in the playground
I had to lift little Poppy down from the wall.
I had to go all the way up to the printer and back again three times because the teacher kept messing up the sending documents thing.
Little Sam blew my mind with his maths skills in maths, I had to give him some sums of my own because he was far advanced beyond his peers in his group (top group). Discussed him with teacher afterwards and we agreed that he's probably on the autism spectrum, would explain a LOT.
I had to supervise half the class on my own whilst the teacher went to the loo and they sat quietly as good as gold for me. I was so pleased I managed to control them. :proud:
I did loads of work on the books, had to sort all these sheets, cut them down and stick them in and I got it all done. :proud:
Then came home and napped. :borat:
