SAAS funding for EEA students??????
So I've applied to universities in scotland. After sending my information the universities have classed me as home/EU fee status. Before accepting any offers I called SAAS and verbally explained my circumstances I spoke with a man on the phone who said that I should certainly qualify for tuition fee funding. Today however, I have received a rejection letter. Does anyone know how this works exactly?
I am a Swiss citizen, as are my parents and I have live here for the past 3 years. However, SAAS said that I need to be ordinarily resident on the relevant date in scotland which is August 1st. I do not receive a level grades until August 14th.
Is it possible for me to move to Scotland and register there around the 1st of August or does this not count as "ordinarily resident"? Have any other EU/EEA students familiar with this????
