If your family member broke the law, would report him/her to the police?

So, imagine your family member (think dad/mom/brother/sister), broke the law (think any type of act, from the serious ones to the mild ones), would you report him/her to the police?

I am curious to see TSR's responses.

If it was serious... like murder, rape or child molestation, then yes, of course. If it was something like tax evasion, nope, good luck to them.

Would you not be worried that the person may put other people in harm's way?
lol ofcourse not. I routinely break laws because a lot of them are ridiculous.

Depends on the severity, if they murdered someone, then most certainly, but I would still help and support them.

If urinating in public, probably not, no.
Depends on the crime. An illegal download of their favourite movie/TV series? No, I would not. Something like murder or rape is a different matter. I don't know how I would feel if a family member committed such a crime. I think I would discuss it with them first, try to convince them to turn themselves in. But if they refused to do so, I might have to, especially if I thought there was a risk of there being further victims if they weren't stopped in their tracks.
No. Unless it's rape, something to do with child pornography or murder (unless it's revengeful).

That's a fair point to make if they committed a major offence against another person. However. I think for petty crimes, such as shoplifting or trespassing, it would be best for that member of my family to not be reported as I have their best interest at heart.

I agree
Depends on the crime. If they robbed a bank, I'd happily assist :colone:

Lol Payday2:Real life edition.
Too vague to answer, if we had even a son or daughter plotting to commit mass murder most of us would probably do so. Jumping a red light would be another matter.
Yes of course like for instance last week my dad was speeding in his car, he was going 89mph on the motorway so I got my phone out and recorded the evidence. I then sent a copy to the DVLA and to the police, I haven't heard anything back yet but hopefully he suffers the consequences of his actions he could have killed someone.
Do I love David Cameron more than I love my family?

Obviously not.

Next question.
Well if they stole chocolate no (unless they refused to share with me), if they raped or murdered someone then yes. :colonhash:

As cold as this might sound. It depends on the family member and the crime...
Depends.
