Strange animal outside my house last night...

So last night I was sitting here staring outside my window and I saw this animal on the opposite side of the street, bear in mind this was at night so it was really dark. At first I thought it was a cat.... then it started coming closer so I noticed it's a lot bigger than a cat so I thought it must be a fox. But then I thought it's kind of strange that a fox is wandering around here, I live in a suburban area.

Then it came even closer and I realized it looked nothing like a fox, it was the size of somewhere between a cat and a fox and I think it was kind of grey-ish although it was dark I'm not really sure but what was strange about about is that it had this long, very thick tail. Both the tail and the animal itself looked very sturdy. For the life of me I cannot imagine what this creature was???

Does anyone have any idea what kind of non-cat/fox/dog could be wandering around in Norwich?? :s-smilie:
chupacabra?

I came here in the hope of some photographic evidence. What did its face look like?
Foxes are pretty common in many suburban areas, actually.

It was probably the devil.
Perhaps its one of those cryptid big cats ?

I didn't see much of its face, I only really saw it from the side.

But it was a sturdy animal and 'short', kind of built like a pig (a small one lol).

Yes darkness can play tricks on your mind. it was probably a cat or a fox.
I'm fairly certain that it's a chupacabra.

As I said... it did not resemble a cat or a fox when you see it close up.
