Israel VS Gaza?

Despite there being "a wave" of transquility (lets say) between the two oppositions, what's our opinions towards whose in the right and whose in the wrong - following the 2014 war which resulted in many casualties, in particular, in Gaza with over 10 soldiers killed in Israel. Thus, Israel was accused of violating many human rights from the UN? Was this the case? Was it self defence?

True. But a War is a War, despite being fought with either sticks and stones or guns and tanks.
Hamas really do need to give the pyramids back to Israel :pierre:

Despite the fact that both Egyptians and Gazans disagree with this and don't want it?

But seriously, just return to the 67 borders and leave each other alone, even if the Palestinians wanted to start a full scale war Israel can just play defensively. No needs for more bloodshed.

Edit: Oh and make Jerusalem it's own thing so that neither nation has an excuse to start a fight over it.

The 2014 Gaza War wasn't self-defence, because Hamas had not fired a single rocket into Israel since 2012. Unlike Israel, Hamas actually abided by the 2012 ceasefire agreement. Israel, meanwhile, broke it on numerous occasions, and started the 2014 conflict when they presided over the mass arrest of hundreds of Hamas officials in the West Bank and the assassination of two Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip. Hamas then retaliated.

And, yes, Israel committed war crimes, including indiscriminately bombing civilian areas and deliberately bombing civilian infrastructure. Individual Israeli soldiers may have also individually targeted civilians. Hamas committed war crimes too, and both should be investigated by the International Criminal Court.

This is really biased in favour of Palestine

What should happen:

Gaza > Egypt

Jerusalem > Israel + 50 mile buffer zone

Land swaps so the settlements are pulled down

Palestinians cede right of return in return for Palestinian citizenship

What is Israel? What is Gaza?

Gaza is in Palestine, that I know.

If Israel is considered a nation state, then the title makes no sense. If Israel is considered a land (= Palestine) still it makes no sense as Gaza is in "Israel"

You must mean Hamas vs Israel

Technically, it was Gaza as a whole in opposition to Israel not really "Hamas", thats like saying the IDF (Israel defence force vs. Gaza)

Why would Israel be up against "Gaza", which is merely a name for a part of the land of Palestine that even covers parts of modern day "Israel"

Anyways this goes back a long time ago and we shouldn't forget the history of Zionist terrorist organizations that may not have had " Israel " in their name, raping the Palestinians villages and ethnically cleansing the lands of Palestine.

We should stop treating Gaza as a territory that is politically defined. It is just a name for a piece/strip of land in Palestine which is in turn the name of the land that included "Israel". It is NOT to be defined by Israel.

Israel is just 'playing defensively'. If it wanted to, it could wipe Palestine off the face of the Earth in days.

It is showing a lot of restraint in view of the constant rain of rocket attacks and stabbings by Palestinians, and the fact that, if the roles were reversed, the Israelis would be massacred by the Palestinians.

Rape is a lesser crime than terrorism and driving people out of their home villages

It's just weird given that Jews are not allowed to physically touch women they are not married to.

It's not "rape" in that sense, dude! You can't rape a city or a village. I mean sacking or looting, or systematically humiliating and chasing the people out.
