Can you withdraw from exams this late?
I'm not asking for myself.
I overheard someone in my class today say to the teacher that she wanted to drop the subject now. The exam is in one week exactly. She said she only wanted to do the exam if she felt she would do her best, which I guess she didn't feel. The teacher said 'Wing it and get a B, or revise hard and try to get an A'.
If she doesn't take the exam, will she automatically get a U, or will it simply not count?
The only reason I can think of to validate such a decision would be if she was trying to get into Oxbridge, and is trying to tactically only take exams that she'll get A's in. Idk though.
Is there a difference between officially withdrawing and simply not showing up? Can you officially withdraw?
