C2 Maths question

I got this question:

log 3 (9x) + log 3 (x^5 /81) = 3

What i did is get:

log 3 (9x X x^5 /81) = 3

Meaning that (9x X x^5 /81) = 1

This means that:

9x^6/81 = 1

I then solved x as 1.4422495

Is this a wrong method?

Thanks in advance
loga(b)=clog_a (b)=c means that ac=ba^c =b , check your 5th line.
When you get log 3 (9x X x^5 /81) = 3 ===> you should get log 3 (9x^6 /81) = 3 ===> this leaves with 3^3 = 9x^6 /81 ===> 27 = 9x^6 /81 ===> 2187 = 9x^6 ===> x^6 = 243 therefore x = 2.498 (3dp)
