confused about my overdraft limit

i have a student account with barclays and whhenever i use the app, it says my overdraft limit is £10 but when i got the letters for when i opened the account, it said my limit would initially be £500? am i being stupid or is something wrong? i'm not too bothered about this as i don't think i'll go into my overdraft but maybe i might need it later on..

You have £500. Your overdraft would never be as little as £10.
