Socialism is cancer. Look how well it worked out in the past.

Socialism and centralised government is a disease that must be stamped out at all costs.

The best means of economic government so far is capitalism with a centrist government who intervenes to an extent but only to avoid abuses of power (not unlike system in America).

Because the world is overwhelmingly capitalist, a socialist state is hugely disadvantaged. Things would be different if the world were more evenly divided. Remember when the USSR existed (obviously not), it was a superpower rivalling the US, and in many ways life beyond the Iron Curtain was better than in the west.

Sorry, you're either an extremely ineffective troll or an accomplished idiot.

I am both, but that doesn't mean I am wrong here.

The USSR had without doubt the better education system. I am in awe of how they taught maths; doubtless because they had a great demand for mathematicians, engineers, and scientists. They were ahead of the US for a very long time in the space race, despite less resources. Or perhaps they took a greater share of the Nazi scientists after WWII, I don't know.

The USSR had free education, sports, healthcare. The USSR was more frugal and much less wasteful than the West. There much much greater income equality. They had significantly higher birth rates. Much greater gender equality. Border security (considering the huge length of border, this was very impressive). Virtually no unemployment - everyone had stability and a purpose. Great public transport. Great propaganda (you might think this is a negative trait, but people need a purpose). Much less religion - state imposed atheism ftw!

Russia went to absolute **** after the USSR collapsed. The USSR was certainly several thousand hells better than modern Russia.

Life in the USSR was better than the West in a number of ways?

I said "in many ways, the USSR was better than the west"; many ways, not all.

I think Stalin's treatment of Ukrainians, Germans, Poles, Lithuanians, etc. (basically all non-Russians) was despicable, and in many cases constituted genocide; but after Stalin died, things got a lot better.

Are you completely incapable of having a nuanced view of the world? Take any two people, one will certainly do things better than the other in different ways. Even the most disgusting person - say, Beyonce - probably does a number of things better than, say, Stephen Hawking. Such as walking. (But not singing).

How would anarchists (I think your image is an anarcho-capitalist argument?) fund space exploration?

Too much investment required, no profits for hundreds of years. No company would bother.

Despite the genocide of natives, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, are now very good places to live.
In fact, the places the British Empire didn't almost completely decimate the native population are doing much worse than the places that did.

So, if your argument is that genocide 50 years prior made the Soviet Union awful in every aspect, then its a rather poor argument.

Well you introduced genocide into the debate, so...

No doubt you particularly admire the Soviet abusive of psychiatry as a means of victimising its "undesirable" citizens?

This has nothing to do with my argument. I'm not even a communist. I'll let frankielogue argue for this, since he appears to be an actual communist.
