SPA (Spalding Court) flats 4 and 6 are in the same building but are on different levels. Unfortunately, neither of you are on the ground floor but you should have a lift in your building.
SPA Flat 4 - Floor 3*
SPA Flat 6 - Floor 5*

*Note: I do not have access to that building and therefore cannot confirm which floors you will be on. This is a rough guess from counting the flats outside.

Hi all,

From a rough guess and from a few students joining the groups, we are assuming that freshers are now getting their accommodation places. Therefore, we are now accepting all fresher and international student accommodation join requests on all court pages.

Identify your court name
Court names are identified by the first three letters. Here is what they stand for;
- BEL > Bellingham
- SPA > Spalding
- MAC > Maclean
- SCH > Schofield
- NEW > Newton
- TEL > Telford

Facebook - Court Pages
- Bellingham Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/236959993375415/.
- Spalding Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/196542104187014/
- Newton Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/1329986583744699/
- Schofield Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/1248602425236035/
- Telford Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/634788776715874/
- Maclean Court > https://www.facebook.com/groups/183773645476453/

It might also be wise to download the Herts Mobile app available on Android and iOS so that you can get used to what the campuses look like (and so that when you arrive it will be a little easier).

Thanks,

I won't be able to do it for every court but I can do a general De Havilland accommodation page.

I made a small error. in the original post I wrote
SPA Flat 4 - Floor 3*
SPA Flat 6 - Floor 5*

Flat 4 is on floor 2 and flat 6 is floor 4
Hi can you tell me what floor I would be on please? I'm in flat 45 at Bellingham. Also how many people are in a flat?
Hi, I'd also like to know what floor I'll be on! I'm in Spalding flat 69

Hi guys,

Accommodation page now live for De Havilland >> https://www.facebook.com/groups/191771831223920/

For those of you who are wondering about where you will be staying, I cannot check everyone's flat however, please come along to an open day (you've been already, come along and i'll show you your flat)

I will only be checking BEL 45 and SPA 69 and that's it!

Many Thanks,
Jay
Hi! I am wondering if postgraduates and undergraduates live in different halls? Thanks!
Hello all! I am wondering if it is possible to walk from de havilland accommodation to College Lane campus? I googled and it says it would take around 15 mins of walking. Just wondering if it's possible in reality. Thanks a lot!

Hi Molimolimolly,

Thank you for your questions - both of which are very important. All halls are mixed so you will find some people who are in their first year right up until masters. This is done to help you settle in as they have more experience with a university environment.

For your second question, it is possible to walk to college lane from de Havilland within 15 minutes however, you do have the free shuttle bus which runs every 15 minutes which is a lot better - especially if it's raining.

Hope this helps,

Jay

Hi Molimolimolly,

International students are also mixed in with locals so that they can share their international experiences and get an understanding of the local culture. It's also nice as it means that we can be very diverse (you'll see this a lot when we have hot weather on College Lane and everyone is socialising on the grass outside of the oval)

Thanks
Jay

Hi Jazmin,

I had a look at your flat this morning and can confirm that you will be on the second floor, sharing with eight people. I will be in Flat 28 in Bellingham so please let me know if you need help moving in on the day.

Many Thanks,
Jay
