No, you don't. I'm not aware of anywhere where it is a specific requirement.That isn't to say it wouldn't be helpful.

No, as far as I know the only places which require it are Imperial and Oxbridge (even then not at all colleges), and nowhere else is going to place any weight on it because the maths involved in engineering is relatively low level unless you go into certain areas during 3rd/4th year.
