Well obviously the more you can get the better. I got just under 4k and I survived. I had to get a job though

Enough to live on depends on you. Some people manage on £30 a week after rent and some people need nearer £50 a week.

A good amount would be enough to cover all living costs, however only those from low income households are afforded that luxury. How much is enough to live on depedns a huge amount on the cost of rent.
