GCSE and A level grade boundaries have always come out the day before results day, generally at midnight.
For some reason this year they come out on the day, potentially at the same time as people are picking up their results so people won't actually be able to see the grade boundaries before obtaining their results.
Am I the only one that's really irritated about this?

That is rather disappointing, but then again it will probably mean I don't spent the whole day and night before wondering "did I get 45 marks here?" and "if I lost X here and but got Y here I should meet that boundary" and so on.

Heard about it on another thread a few weeks ago. Trying to understand why they'd do this

Do you have a reason for this? Also would any teachers on tsr be able to share them here?

True but I guess it is also a double edge sword - helpful if you know you have aced that grade boundary but harmful if you haven't reached the one you really wanted to.

    It's always been the case

Those that got posted in public were leaked by teachers/exams officers. TSR has an agreement with the exam boards not to host leaked materials (but it's possible people will share links to leaked material hosted elsewhere).

That's definitely not always been the case; for the last three years (and almost certainly for many years before that too) exam boards have published grade boundaries on their public websites by 9am on the Wednesday.

If AQA are publishing on results day this year than that is a change in policy.

Just curious but how are these agreements made do you know?

I'm so annoyed about this!! I had a day to prepare and go through the boundaries and compare them to other similar papers, and think back to how my exams went - it usually made me feel a bit more confident going into the next day, but I guess I'll just have to be a nervous wreck this year... why have they done this?
