Biology Edexcel Unit 1 9/01/08: How was it?

Well I sat the bio exam and thought it was a pretty good one... some questions were strange and I have NO IDEA what an initial rate of reaction is or why she measured it but hey! How did everyone else find it?

yeh i did the bio one too.

yeh ure right bout the strange questions like initial rate of copper added or something.

i hated the questions bout digestive section how we had to enlarge by x1 just so confusing. how it said PLAN .

but overall the whole experiment questions were not asked in a simple way, they were so complicatedly similar.

The paper to me wasn't really that hard.. omg i was so vexd afta wen my friends and i were talkin bout it.. i made soooo many stupid mistakes like the qu on magnification where i lost markz from and the starch qu where the answa was suppose to be benedicts.. Cant believe how many marks i threw away, i was bein such a dopey bastard. Adding up the marks i lost, i reckon i pprobably jus scraped a C :frown:

Yeah that qu where you had to enlarge by x1 was confusing.. i just drew it again showing some gridlines.

Initial rate of reaction = rate of reaction initially i.e. at the beginning. It's where you measure the tangent to find out what the rate of reaction is when it's not being limited.
