relationship with professors

Hello I am an international student who wishes to go to graduate school. I was accepted to University of Edinburgh to study Arabic and Economics. To go to graduate school I will need to have good recommendations, and subsequently good relationship with professors . However I heard that lectures are usually about 100-200 people. Is it hard to establish a very good relationship with a professor in University of Edinburgh? Is an American liberal arts college (like Wellesley) a better fit for me? Thank you very much.
Tutorials tend to have smaller class sizes 1:30 but they might be led by a graduate student or teaching assistant.

To build good realations with proffesor just make an effort to answer questions he asks the class and get good marks.

Based on my experience studying in the school of informatics, you'll find that the professors, (with the exception of a few) are incredibly socially inept, hate teaching and incapable of holding a simple conversation,
