Patent Attorney with a medicine degree?

I’m in year 12 and am studying Maths, Biology and Chemistry and I have a querie. I am keen to become a doctor but half of me wants to do a STEM degree and become a patent attorney.

Is it possible for me to go to medical school, become a doctor, then become a patent lawyer? Or do I need a proper science or engineering degree?

Any help is much appreciated.

Yes. I would focus onto doing the medicine first though. You could also get some work experience with a patent lawyer. Your other option is just becoming a solicitor specialising in IP.
