I am studying Business with Finance at City but want a career in teaching. I know the is a shortage of teachers but is this course competitive?

I thought some PGCE courses are hard to get into. I’m in second year but thinking of doing this course after my third year. But if it’s too competitive I might just focus on applying to graduate schemes.
