Dating in med school

Is it me or is it hard to date in medical school?
I'm just curious about you guys if its the uni I'm at or is it generally harder

Didn't go to med school but I have several friends who have. As with any program it can be hard- dating can be tricky. I think with medicine in particular it is harder because there is soooo much pressure on students. Whereas most students want to do well medics have to do well as the course is exceptionally challenging and of course literal lives are at stake if the med student doesn't learn the info needed. Also, I know that most medics are driven to succeed which means they spend most of their 'free' time studying and revising. Of course you all can and do have fun and in that light relationships can form but yes I do believe being in med school makes it a bit more of a challenge because the students are really focusing on academic success.

Most medics just end up dating other medics or sometimes dentists and vets, from what I've seen. Unless you are really active outside med school i.e. participate in societies and play sports, it will be difficult to meet other people.
