Can anybody recommend some good law textbooks

I'm thinking of studying law in a few years and would like to get a head start as I'm a very slow learner.

I also want to see what the course actually involves as I have never studied law before.
Google it, google is your best friend.

I'd read some nutshell books on law as they are pretty basic but are very good if you accept them for what they are.

Areas i would do some reading in would be Contract Law, Tort Law, Criminal Law, Public Law, EU Law. Others areas you could do reading in would be Equity & Trusts, Land Law. However this is just a rough guide but will cover the bulk of most universities.
