Reading

I’m going to be studying Law LLB at SOAS this September and I really was hoping to do some reading beforehand. I cant seem to find any recommended reading list for the course online nor has it been emailed to me. I know SOAS has sent some emails with a reading list to students on other courses so perhaps there isn’t one for Law yet but I was hoping anyone would have some recommendations.
I'm also starting Uni to do LLB Law. Here's a link of possible books you could read https://www.law.ac.uk/resources/blog/5-must-reads-for-future-law-students/

Hi!

Congratulations on your place at SOAS!

If you scroll down on your course page, it will show you a list of compulsory modules that you will take in your first year. Each of the modules have their own separate pages which explain what you will study in them, how you will be assessed, suggested readings and more. These readings are what you will use for the whole module, so it can be useful to familiarise yourself with them now. https://www.soas.ac.uk/study/find-course/llb-single-honours

I hope that this helps!

unless money is no object, i wouldn't go out and buy the textbook listed on the university website tho. reading it without instruction from a course leader is likely to make little sense and once you get the actual reading list there will likely be other recommendations, plus you can take that book out for free from the library.
