AS Level Textbook

Long story short: my Geography teacher is a bit useless and I can't understand anything he says. He has a broken English accent and he himself finds it difficult to explain concepts to us so, he just copies out chunks of the textbook and, classically, tell us to copy everything down. My question is, what textbook is the best to use, and will give me all the details I need?
