UCL, LSE, KCL and UVA for Political Geography Masters - Advice!

Hello!

I am looking to do a masters next year in political geography and I'm particularly interested in the way in which natural resources like water/oil cause conflict both nationally and internationally. I did HSPS at Cambridge and got a decent 2.1 and whilst I enjoyed the course, it was super broad (doing everything from political thought to gender to I.R) and have always wanted to do geopolitics and something more specialised.

I think I've narrowed down where I want to apply to 3 unis and courses.
- UCL - Environment Politics and Society - MSC
- KCL - Environment Politics and Globalisation - MSC
- UVA (Amsterdam) - Political Geography -MSC

I'm also looking at the LSE Geography, but think the course may be too broad and also costs ££.

From my research the KCL course looks more focused on the things I'm interested in with a lot of academics specialising in the politics of water and the UCL course seems a bit fluffier with academics specialised in slightly odder areas... But I really don't know and would love insight from anyone with insights into any of these universities or courses or has advice on how to find more info, aside from looking just at module information.

I guess this is also a bit of a longshot since this is quite niche, but people on here are so extra it's always worth a shot!

Find out where grads end up, what links the courses have with the sector and what research/work experience you will have access to.

I've actually really struggled to find that info out via linkedin etc and obviously the universities want to tell you that they've all gone to amazing places

The uni will be able to give you the most accurate info and you're going to have to trust them to some extent.
Hey there! Glad to find somebody who's interested in geopolitics too! I've received offers from the same exact courses that you've indicated for UCL and KCL, but I decided to go for UCL because I have a huge interest in marine conservation. Honestly if you're into geopolitics it's gonna be as niched as it's gonna get, so might as well follow the area of interest that you're the most interested in (which seems to be what KCL offers!). Just my two cents
