Can I study an Access course of Art and Design to do a Film degree?

My local Access to HE courses aren’t very suited to what I want to do in uni (Film Degree) but there is an art course. Can I do a film degree if I have an art and design access to HE qualification?

It's not ideal. Are there any Media/Lens based Foundation Diploma courses available? They're funded the same as an Access Diploma (except unfortunately the fee loan doesn't get wiped when you complete your degree like with Access) and take the same length of time and are likely to be better preparation.

You would probably be able to find a university that would take you but it's unlikely to be the right preparation for entry onto a skillset/cilect accredited degree course.
