I did this right at the end but I think I spoke about
1) high levels of Na+ concentration
2) waterlogged soils which lead to anaerobic conditions
3) dont remember lmao

ah okay! thanks
we wrote the same thing for one of them at least
That exam was hard???
I’m pretty sure you have to multiply by the percentage then add it to the original number, then divide by 2. If it was 100% increase the population would double, but by that method it wouldn’t change
Original post by mnnbv
multiply the the number of red kites by the percentage they gave, then divide by 100 to get total number of red kites. divide this by two to get the breading pairs

I wonder if the grade boundaries will be higher
because most people found it easier to last years papers I think

if I remember correctly, it didn't say the population INCREASED by xxx%

I thought it said the population was xxx% of the original population

However, I may have read it wrong?
can anyone clarify what i said?
It increased by xxx%

welp... I got that wrong then

erugh... I'm just gonna try and forget about biology at this point

I can’t remember now either
Wasn’t it sere ??? It was asking about what species dominate ffs

sere is a stage of sucession right?

what did you get for the D value= i got 0. something
I did 1.1 cm to mm which is 1.1*10 so 110 mm. Then 110mm into um is 110*100 so 11000um I think I ****ed it haha

I thought it was "the population is now xxx% of the original population" too. I didn't think you had to add it on to the original.

I wrote about the ice lowering temperature which reduces kinetic energy and the action of enzymes within the mitochondria is slowed down and then the isotonic buffer was to prevent any changes in pH that could denature enzymes and it's isotonic so water does not cause lysis of the mitochondria
Original post by kekedoyouloveme?
what did you get for the isotonic buffer

i said something ice cold inactivating protein carriers, in mitochondria, no atp

and isotonic buffer to maintain H+ to maintain electrochemical gradient for etc? i did not know anythingggg
I got 1.1um

I got 0.27 but I just remembered I don't think I wrote it in the answer box

It can’t be bc u had to find the time differences between 3 and 4 of whatever the y axis was
I remember doing 31-26 or some bs like that

And sere is when a particular community dominates a stage of succession

I put
Primary succession
Pioneer
And we’re

okay! honestly, I do think I did it right...
tsr is both useful and demotivating at the same time
Isn't that the climax species or climax community. Sere is a series of communities with different species

i didnt add it and now im stressing coz thats like 30 flipping something marks

ugghhhhh i really thought oh i lost 30 marks all good

checking everybodies ansswers its now dropped to 38 im acc so dumb

oh shoot i got 0.83

you calculated the gradient right?

yano the blue and red lines, i just drew them exactly at 4 and 3 on the graph below

and thats what i did ;/
