Will the paintings be scenes from the books? Always nice to have merchandise so you can synergise the items....

Check for how much are they sold, if ever.
I don't about the UK's market, but where I come from, the paint iself was often more expensive than a painting.

Nope. just separate. So like old books and just paintings of random things.
