Is creaked an onomatopoeia?

I have just finished my English Language paper 1 mock, and on question 2 i pointed out an onomatopoeia as well as a personification that i think said "the coach creaked and trembled" I am worried i messed up my paper! Is creaked an onomatopoeia?!

creak is definitely onomatopoeia

Yes, you get some credit for commenting on language - even if you get the term wrong. For example, you'd still get credit for explaining a metaphor, even if it was a simile.
yes! i think of it as anything that could come up in a comic outside of speech (i.e. boom, pow, splat, but also hush, ding, chatter, and definitely creak - imagine someone on old floorboards, that would probably have 'creak' on it)
i read a lot of comics so it's quite often on my mind aha
