Have you got something against the Welsh?

I do, but I am not sure why it's relevant here.

(Do you mean because I missed Cardiff?)

Because you don't have any of the four original University of Wales colleges.

I am not picking favourites. You have one or two I wouldn't include and you are missing a couple I would have there, but I am not quibbling about that level of detail. However, it strikes me as surprising that you don't consider any of Cardiff, Aber, Swansea and Bangor to be worth a punt.

I always think Bangor is exceptional value for anyone who has really screwed up their A levels.

That's a backhanded compliment for Bangor if ever I heard one

Really, the purpose of this was for future reference. Just to state unis in Clearing for me to link for next year's applicants and the unis mentioned just seemed most likely; not particularly happy about including Keele or Oxford Brookes, but people ask me about them and Clearing a bit. Cardiff was just an error on my part; was doing it quickly while eating a Twix.

I am a big fan of Swansea, as a shipping specialist, and I did think about adding it. But it was my personal bias coming through and it's a given that it's in Clearing. Not particularly interested in Bangor or Aber; not had any one mention those previously.

That reminds me of the old joke following a spate of arson attacks on English second homers
"Come home to a real fire - buy a holiday cottage in Wales"

I signed into Queen Mary's clearing and they don't list school of law as an option?

They are still showing vacancies for certain Law courses on the UCAS website, but that is not always up to date as UCAS relies on the unis telling them as soon as the situation changes. Your best bet is to phone Queen Mary's Admissions team directly to ask if they still have any Law vacancies or are likely to have them again later in the cycle.

But otherwise, not too bad?

Interesting course but doesn't really compare to the big boys.

True I suppose

I think they'll ask for AAB or ABB at least. I remember reading somebody went there last year with those grades.
@Notoriety, thanks for this thread, looks very helpful.

I've stickied it in the forum and scheduled it to un-sticky in September.:yy: Would you mind putting a little note in the OP just to say that's it's not ALL the law courses in clearing, but a selection? Just because I've read a bit of confusion in the thread.

Realistically they probably do still have clearing spaces for law if the past few years is anything to go by
