No I don't think it will be stupid of you at all, however it does make sense for them to not hire you since you simply won't be able to work with them. I suggest you don't let them know outright but after the interview ask when you can start working. And definitely go for the interview because it's great practice regardless of whether you get the job or not, and if you do interview you might be able to work it out. Just make sure you ask them, and do go for the interview. Worst case, you won't be able to do the job but at least you'll get interview experience. I hope this helps!
