Bangor drinking water

I'm going to Bangor as a fresher this september and I know it sounds random but I really want to know what the tap water is like. We have really good drinking water where I live now and I really dislike the taste of hard water.
Is it worth buying a water filter jug? Thanks x

The water in Bangor is incredibly soft water (as it comes off the surrounding mountains). I really like its taste, and never felt the need for a filter of any kind.
