HMRC Tax Specialist Programme (TSP) 2020

Met the standard too! Totally confused if it means a place or not though as more talking about reserve lists later in the email. Thought it was going to be a successful, reserve list or unsuccessful email that was coming out. Would be good to know.

I am in complete shock but again will still not get my hopes up. I passed it last year and did not get a place on the TSP still. Fingers crossed I do this time then.

To anyone who was unsuccessful....do not take this as disappointing. I know it will be but take it as a learning experience. That is a tough process and AC. I know people who have taken multiple times to pass it too and even one person on here met someone at the AC that was their 9th time. You can reapply, it will set you in good steed for further years and just keep trying.

Do you already work for HMRC? I am external and am hoping that if I am on the reserve list I get any position. Do you think that's likely?

Given that some people have said "successful", it sounds like "met the standard" means reserve list.

sorry, just to be clear, I meant I was successful as I met the standard! Have some people's email said successful, you have a place? mine said met standard and wait and see about places basically.

Holy ****. Just got the email to say I met the standard. Unbelievable. It's only another step though as I only have one location I can do (Belfast) so I'd still need to be well up to order.

I didnt have the interview 2 tab in case that has any significance for anyone.

I have had an email to say I passed the AC. Given how it reads, regarding first tranche of offers following later this month, I would say it is the only type of successful/pass email that they've sent at the moment.

I am indeed Internal already. I got my O grade from the tests alone from the TSP back in 2015's one so they do make offers to join HMRC from this. Again it is all down to business need and location etc so you may well be offered something at O or HO grade if you do not get offered a place on the TSP :smile:

I am also Belfast only. As is Cass. Even from this forum you can see that Belfast is oversubscribed lol.

Yeh would be good to find out if anyone actually gets a 'Successful' email or one like last year mine said at the time 'You have met the required standard however we are unable to offer you a place at present' and then it went into the reserve list info.

Does anyone have an email of similar to last year then of only saying reserve list?
