Mum won't let me get braces.

I've want braces because my teeth aren't *great* and I'd rather solve the issue now, whilst still young (16), instead of later when I'm an adult.

My mum has said before she wouldn't pay for me to get them... Even though she herself has had them and had invisalign.

How can I persuade her to get them?

I only want the normal traditional braces, nothing special that costs extra.

I'm not happy with my smile and I'd like it to be fixed...
you do know that they are going to cost something like £3,000?
If it is counted as more than cosmetic then you can get them free but otherwise that is a lot of money to come up with.

She paid about £4,000 for her invisalign treatment last year...

I'm sure she can afford it.
Did the dentist say you could have them?

They've never explicitly mentioned it but I know for a fact I have an overbite and a gap in my two front teeth.

I have an appointment next month and I might ask.

Good. I'd ask first before deciding to have them. I personally got braces when I was 17 and it took a year and a half to get my teeth right.
