law student doing Drama!

Well Im applying to Warwick to do law and the thing is I love Drama, im not necceseraly an amazing actor, but I just thoroughly enjoy it and one of the reasons Im applying to Warwick is that they put on alot of shows etc. Now what i was wondering is as someone who will not be studying theatre studies/drama at Warwick will i still be able to be part of the shows or do the dramatists there 'hog' the shows?

Thanks

I can't answer that question, but thought you'd be interested to know that this year they are adding a new "Shakespear and the law" module!

I'm potentially taking it, but may revert back to tax depending on how well I do in other modules.

Hi! There's only about 35 theatre students in each year at Warwick, and only a handfull of those get involved with 'Warwick Drama'. The English+theatre lot get involved quite alot, but again, there's not many of them!
You'll definately still be able to get involved, whatever subject you do! There's a guy doing French+International Studies who's been to the Edinburgh Fringe the past 3 years and is directing a show at Warwick Arts Centre this term.

There are quite a few drama societies all dealing with different things, but I'd say check out Codpiece Theatre Society. They've got two shows on at Warwick Arts Centre this term (including one which has yet to be cast! Auditions will be in Week 2...). There's also a free workshop open to everyone every week... and much more!
