Theoretical Physics/Quantum Gravity University Rankings

Hello

I've applied for 3 postgraduate programmes:
- Theoretical Physics MSc @ King's
- Gravity, Particles and Fields MSc @ Nottingham
- Mathematical and Theoretical Physics MSc @ Sheffield

I'm really interested in theoretical physics, particularly quantum field theory/dark matter research - which of the above unis has the strongest research reputation in this field, as I'd like to go and do a PhD in this later?

In my opinion, the universities you have listed are all similarly good - its pretty difficult to separate them in terms of general reputation. It may be more useful to decide whether you would like to live in London or not, or if there are particular research labs/supervisors you would like to work with if you do pursue a PhD. If this is the case, then you may be more inclined to attend the universities where there are potential supervisors with similar interests to you.
