Advice for getting a good uni grade?

Hi, I'm going to be starting a communications with Advertising degree at northumbria in September and I want to get a head start on academics. I've finished my extended diploma predicted a D*D*D* and I've got high essay grades.... but I'm well aware that I'm at a disadvantage in terms of academic writing and studying- does anyone have any pointers for me? *ik I'm not doing a typical stem so it might be considered easier*. I really want to try for a 2:1

It's great to hear you will be studying with us in September. It sounds like it will be a good idea for you to get involved with the Academic Support we have available here at Northumbria. As well as the academic support you’ll receive from your tutors, there are teams of people at Northumbria who are here to help you reach the point of graduation feeling nurtured, fulfilled and supported at every step of the way, whatever you are studying.

We have a fantastic Student Engagement team, who you can come and talk to anytime for advice and support on a range of issues. Our frontline Ask4Help service is your first point of contact, available 24/7 during term time and with access to specialist colleagues when you need further advice or support.

If you are struggling in anyway with writing and studying, you can reach out to your lecturers who will be able to support you/point you in the right direction of further support.
