Can alcohol cause hallucinations?
I was walking back to my halls and saw this guy in front of me with a can of XXXX in his hand screaming and I mean really screaming like he'd seen something terrifying I crossed the road to try and see what was scaring him so much to se if I could help but there was nothing there I've seen that happen a few times now with different people so my question is Can alcohol cause hallucinations? or is it possible he had another disorder like schizophrenia?

Probably not on its own
Either he has psychological issues or substance misuse alongside alcoholism
