Postgraduate accommodation

I’m thinking of applying for postgraduate maths at ICL. However the high prices for accommodation are concerning. Where do people live and where are places I can live and have a commute of say 1-1.5 hours or even getting up to 2 hours?
Also I will be living with my girlfriend so living in a place that isn’t dangerous is fairly important. As I say, I would be prepared to sacrifice the time taken to get to uni for living in a place that isn’t too expensive and isn’t ‘dangerous’

Hi!

I'm Anudi, a student rep for Imperial.

Imperial offers accommodation for postgraduate students at the Silwood Park campus. You can find more details on their website here: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/silwood-park/prospective-students/accommodation/

If you're thinking of renting privately, the accommodation centre has put together an area guide, that might be of use to you - https://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/imperial-college/current-students/accommodation/public/private-housing/Area-guide-map-2021.pdf. The accommodation centre also has lots of information available about renting privately, https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/campus-life/accommodation/private-accommodation/

I hope the above helps. If you have more questions please do let us know!
