uni A&F textbooks recommendations

What textbooks did your uni recommend for your first year that you used.
I'm starting a A&F degree next year and want to do some gap year reading (:

Thanks for any responses btw
Hi, I simply saw this from your reply to my OP.

I found these: https://global.oup.com/ukhe/disciplines/accounting-and-finance/?cc=gb&lang=en&

They are Oxford Press Textbooks, which means that most Universities will have similar if not, the same content. This specific link seems to have 4 Featured books, the first one, titled 'Introduction To Finance'

I compared this to Amazon's listing for you, and it stands around £50. There was two versions, one in 2018, and an updated version in May 2021! Here's the link to that: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Introduction-Accounting-Peter-Scott/dp/0198783280/ref=pd_sbs_1/260-8642887-5439904?pd_rd_w=Sp3RG&pf_rd_p=81b5b96c-ae50-4587-83b6-6d89886bbdbf&pf_rd_r=GQNJ3PCTNS9QAE7V20X0&pd_rd_r=8f928d96-a9d6-4121-83c0-5b31f271ec16&pd_rd_wg=sup7N&pd_rd_i=0198783280&psc=1

The 2018 version had 2 five star reviews, and the new version seems to be popular (almost out of stock!) I recommend having a look here.

You should also check a website, called Z-library, which has 1000s of free e-books, you never know, you may find a book for free that could save you a bit of money.

(For the legal side... this website is legal: "It has been funded in part by grants from the California State Library and the Kahle/Austin Foundation.")

Full details here: https://www.mvorganizing.org/why-is-z-library-free/#:~:text=It%20has%20been%20funded%20in,to%20download%20and%20read%20them.

Other than that, good luck OP, and if I find anything interesting, I'll try and let you know
