Degree Apprenticeships

How competitive is a degree apprenticeship? How many people apply vs are offered a place? What makes a good applicant (Finance focus). Thank you.

Generally very competitive.
In terms of rate of acceptance that's gonna differ for each company. But for big companies you could have thousands of applicants for 30 ish roles. If you're thinking big 4 that ratio is probably even worse. You could be competing with hundreds for one role. For a smaller, lesser known firm it's a different story.

A "good" applicant is someone who fits all the requirements in the job description and sells themself well. But a good applicant doesn't always get the role. Make sure to tailor your application to the description and use key words from it in your CV/answers to interview questions.

Don't be put off by competitiveness either. I know a lot of people who don't apply for things they want just because they think they won't get it. Just try it and if you get rejected, you get rejected. Take it as a learning experience and move on.
