Will a Merit help with Doctorate application?

Hi all,

Completed my Master’s and was awarded a Merit. I’m pretty happy with this considering my wider stresses this past year.

Will this however be something that hinders a DEdPsych application where it isn’t a Distinction? I know experience is the most important thing (I have lots) I just want to make sure I’m competitive enough.

The relevance of the Master's to the PhD area is probably most important but a MERIT will be acceptable to most universities offering PhD study.

Hi!

I wouldn't have thought this would hinder your application, as long as you have the right kind of experience (which it sounds like you do) and can write a strong application.
