Last Minute Calls

Hi, I've got tickets to a concert tonight and my uni sent an email late last night, saying all students must be on a mandatory call tonight, they've told me that I can't rearrange the call and will be punished if I attend the concert. Is there any way I can fight this or get the uni to refund my tickets?

Judging from the date of your post, I believe this has now passed but for the sake of a next time, I'll advise you speak to your course or department rep about the situation. You can also share your experience with Union Voice which is a feedback platform managed by the Students’ Union who may be able to offer advice.
