Is Senghennydd Court/Hall really that awful?

Undergrad starting in September and looking at being close to campus and centre as am lazy and like going out. This places seems like a no brainer but I'm reading (albeit older) posts saying they are a dump and also insanely loud with very unsociable students up all night :smile:

Is this still the case? Are their alternatives?

i also want to know this. I'm thinking of applying there cuz its cheap and close to the queens building.

Hi there

Current Cardiff Uni student here!

I went to Senghennydd Court/Hall a lot in my first year and it is generally less loud than Talybont but it can be unsociable at times which should definitely be considered.

However, it should be said that the location is really great and I found that there was generally quite a nice atmosphere.
