Thank you for your reply. Yeah I would love to know how the politics department is like at Cardiff? Also what should I do to prepare for uni? And how you find the course, is it enjoyable?

Happy to try to help :smile:

So BScEcon Politics and International Relations is with the School of Law and Politics the department is great with checking in with regular anonymous surveys on student experience which is a great way to bring up any of the issues that you are having. I've found that a lot of the work is online while lectures take place across the Cathays campus - which is super close to a bunch of accommodation options etc.

In terms of preparing for uni - I didn't. The choice to come to Cardiff was only a few weeks before moving - it's definitely helpful to familiarise yourself with what modules you'll be taking which will be available here.

Personally, I'm really enjoying the course. I couldn't imagine studying anything else - I've enjoyed the second year so much better than the first year because there is more room for specialisation. There is so much flexibility in the timetable and I've not found it too challenging to be able to work a part-time job alongside.

Thanks! Yeah I was given Clodien house which is rlly close the the campus but far from city centre so I'm not sure how good that is haha, how about you?

Yeah! I’ve been put in taly court which is much the same story. Absolutely bricking it about having roommates but at least i get a trip to ikea for supplies before i move 😂

when and how did you find out which accommodation you got into?? i applied ages ago and i’m not sure if i need to log into the website or if they’ll email!

you should have had an email with your sims account which you can use to put in your accom application. after that’s finished, they’ll email you with your room offer and it must be accepted within a few days.
Id double check the Sims portal and if it says you’ve missed the offer, contact the uni.
as far as i’m aware, they will be processing july- august and online enrollmwnt starts on sept 1st.
