What I enjoy about studying at Kingston University

As a first year student at Kingston University, here are some things that I enjoy about studying here:

The location
As much as I am a city girl, I am also a lover of nature. The location of Kingston enables me to experience the best of both worlds!

Far away enough from the centre of London to be away from the hustle and bustle yet only a short train journey away! The centre of Kingston has everything you need from shops, cafes, restaurants and a range of activities to do. There are also many parks, walking trails and river paths in the area, with Kew Gardens and Richmond Park also not being far from Kingston.

Opportunities
Finding opportunities around the university has been a great way to learn new skills and meet new people. I enjoy being a student ambassador as it is a great way to meet other students and gain a range of employable skills. I have also gotten involved with Kingston Hub were you can volunteer on a range of programmes - taking part on a 6 week art mentoring programme at a local youth club.

Facilities
Each faculty has a range of state of the art facilities for the different courses. I like the fact that Kingston School of Art even allows students on their courses to use facilities outside of their specialism - so if you study fashion and want to do some woodwork, or study fine art and want to use the domestic facilities, you can get inducted and speak to the technicians!

Diversity
The university is extremely diverse and I am constantly able to meet people from a range of different countries, cultures, ethnicities and religions!

If you have any questions, I am happy to share more about things that I enjoy about studying at Kingston University!
